Alliance for Peacebuilding 2016 Annual Conference

Date: May 24, 2016

Venue: Washington, D.C.

The Institute for InterGroup Understanding co-sponsored The Alliance for Peacebuilding’s annual 2016 conference on May 25 and 26 in Washington, D.C. The InterGroup Institute also provided copies of The Art of InterGroup Peace to all attendees.

AfP’s 2016 Annual Conference involves Peace leaders from multiple organizations who will gather to examine and discuss the newest developments in the peace-building field. The goal of the Conference is to capture the “view from the edges,” where peace-building is innovating, “looking around corners,” and scanning the horizon to revolutionize the Peace building field.

The Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) Annual Conference is intended to create dynamic space for AfP members to network with the broader peace and security community, including funders, policymakers, members of the military, and professionals from a broad range of related disciplines, such as development, human rights, and environmental protection.

The conference will provide unique opportunities for Peace focused people to exchange ideas, reflect on international crises, discuss the most important issues in the peace-building field, and develop collaborative projects. The only event of its kind, the Annual Conference also allows members to highlight key achievements and discuss the future of the field.
